Ten years

The Brussels Diwali Festival has run every year since 2016. It has moved venues, grown from an evening to a weekend, and become the largest event of its kind in Belgium.

What began as a community gathering is now a public festival on one of Brussels' most recognisable sites, working with the City, the Atomium and the Embassy of India, and drawing an audience that is Belgian as much as it is Indian.

The tenth edition, on 24 and 25 October 2026, carries the theme Culture United. European embassies and cultural institutes are invited to take part, each bringing a pairing of their own tradition with an Indian one — and an avenue of lights running the length of the esplanade, one stretch for each country taking part.
